Jansen Walsh & Grace

Since 1981 Jansen Walsh & Grace Conveyancing & Commercial Lawyers have helped people in Melbourne's Outer Eastern Suburbs and the Yarra Ranges buy and sell their homes (conveyancing), drafted their wills, obtained probate, advised them on business structures (companies, partnerships, trusts and joint ventures) and business and property solutions, such as property investment, superannuationcommercial and retail leases, property development and subdivisions.  We are one of the oldest firms in Melbourne's Outer Eastern Suburbs and we have been longer in Wantirna, Wantirna South, Heathmont, Vermont and Studfield than any other firm. We have welcomed the clients of Vaughan Kelly & AssociatesDavies & Gullquist, Smith Ryan & Co, Commercial Tenancy Advisers, Tony O'Brien Legal (in Ferntree Gully) and John T Macmillan (in Queen Street).  We believe we provide them with the same level of service as their former lawyers.

Lockdown until next Friday

Despite the lockdown, we can still answer your calls on 9720 2922 or 0437 589 659 and e-mails and provide our usual legal services, except we will not be able to have an appointment in person with you before next Friday morning.  However, we can meet you by Zoom or FaceTime.  As we will have reduced staffing, there may be a delay in answering your phone call.  If that occurs, try sending an e-mail instead.

Your will and enduring power of attorney during lockdown
If you have a mobile phone, or or your children or nieces or nephews have one, we can witness you making your will or your power of attorney.  It is not necessary for a lawyer to witness a will.  Anyone can witness your will, but your will may not be valid if they are a beneficiary under your will or a spouse or domestic partner of a beneficiary.

Of course, if you do not require an enduring power of attorney, but only a standard power of attorney (usually for business purposes), we can just draft one for you.  We do not have to witness it.

Free will review
If you already have a  will, we offer a no obligation free will review.  We also provide you free advice on estate planning and business succession and your SMSF super fund.

What we do
We provide the full range of advice on conveyancing, business structures and business solutions, such as:

Coronavirus
Here at Jansen Walsh & Grace we take the health and welfare of our clients very seriously.

We have installed hand sanitiser units throughout the office.  We encourage clients entering and leaving the office to use them.

In most instances you do not have to come to our office.  We can accept instructions for your will, power of attorney or any other matter by e-mail or letter.  You don’t need to attend in person.  If we need to see you, we can set up Skype.

There are a small number of documents, such as loan documents, wills and powers of attorney which we are required to witness in person.  In most instances we can provide you with a solution.

Finally, if you have travelled through (including transit) mainland China, Iran, Italy, South Korea, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan,  Singapore and Thailand in the past 14 days, have come into direct contact with or live with someone who has, we respectfully request, as part of our COVID-19 precautionary measures, that you ring us first so that we can make appropriate arrangements.
